OMG. I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I HAD MUSTERED MY COURAGE AND DECIDED TO GO FOR THIS AMAZING HALLOWEEN AUDITION WITH MY FRIENDS.
Simply much, I wanted to try a different character and do something new that I had not done before (which is... to be a scare-actor) Pretty cool, yeah.
The three of us (Me, JH, JQ) went to SCAPE for the HNN 7 audition. For the group audition, I was separated from the rest of my friends, and I went in earlier than them. When we were in the room, there were five interviewers, and there were ten of us (interviewee) in that four-cornered room. My heart was just pounding rapidly as if I had round a marathon. It was my first time here. To be honest, I had never act-ed before, nor I had any confidence that I could act. Anyway, there were no one that knew me in that room, so I just try it out.
It started off with a simple warm-up, a short introduction, and then just a small jump and facial expression (Happy, Very Happy and Cry). I could laugh and just laugh... BUT, I had no idea how it was to cry. I was impressed by the interviewee around me, and they could just totally be on set, and stood down, cry (wahh...)
After that, there was the director that directed us to drink a magic potion. This is a special magic potion, it makes you change to another person or simply makes you a different character, CRAZY AND BE ANYTHING, and you just slowly suffocate and die. When you are awake, you changed into a person into another explicit character different and opposite from the previous character. I don't really remember what it was but then we were very very hungry, caged-in the square box, we saw food in front and we just wanted FOOD, MEAT!
There was another scene where we were directed that there were black smoke at the other side, you were curious and you walk over to see, and there was a big shadow emerging, over powering you, a huge monster, and then you passed off.
The last and most impressive was about making present for Santa. We were given 30 seconds to build a toy for Santa and present it to him. The first interviewee was so amazing that I almost dropped my jaws, stunned, and just amazed by his FABuLOUS performance, he literally changed the way he spoke, knelt a little, and in his little squeaky accent, presented his gift to Santa, and he dropped and lost the present. It was just amazing how well people could act. The rest of the interviewee did really well too. KUDOS to everyone of them.
In my mind, my head was just full of question marks question marks... What present should I present to Santa?! I had no idea and I just blurted that I made him a toy car, and simple toy-car. Car with full of color and when you say this chant "ADACADABRA", it will become BIG. OMG. I could not imagine what I had did in this 15 minutes interview. Just be crazy laughing and overall, it was an break off opportunity for me and just too amazing experience.
